Cu – Alloy (bronze) or Copper Welding Wire are alloys based on copper with aluminum, tin, or silicon, often with alloying elements of iron, nickel, and manganese. These alloys are mainly used in shipbuilding, mining, pulp, and paper industry and the chemical industry, wherever a wear-resistant, low friction weld surface is required. They are divided into pure copper, low alloyed up to max. 5% and high alloyed of more than 5% alloying constituents. The low alloyed are alloyed with Ag, Mg, Zn, Pb or Si, the most important high alloyed with Zn (brass), Sn (bronze), Sn+ Zn (red bronze), Ni+Zn (nickel silver), Ni or with Al.

Copper Welding Wires are usually used for welding exotic alloys such as manganese, copper, phosphorus bronze, and more.
